Forest Park Hotel
Local Brockenhurst businessman, Sean Perry, had long admired the hotel for its superb location, distinct character and fascinating history, and could instantly see its potential, "This is a great opportunity to resurrect what is simply a fantastic hotel. Unfortunately it had been allowed to decline to such a level that a total revamp is needed to save it."
Sean, along with his experienced and dedicated management team, have big plans and high standards for the future. "We don't just want to bring the hotel in-line with others in the area," he confirmed, "we want it to rise above and redefine the standard for accommodation and leisure in this truly stunning part of the UK. It was previously a very private and unfamiliar hotel. We've had people come in the bar who have lived in the area for years, but never knew the hotel existed. I want to run this as a friendly, family business and get involved with the local community."
An exciting new chef, has been brought onboard to overhaul the restaurant menu and serve succulent, locally sourced produce. Freshly baked cream teas will be served in the mature gardens and special themed evenings, such as Curry and Quiz Night, are sure to be a big hit with locals and visitors to the area. Plus a growing wine list and locally brewed Ringwood ales will boost the ambience when they play host to live bands and events.
The hotel continues to operate during the renovation, with the new owners keen to ensure the traditional spirit of the hotel remains intact. The fully licensed bar area has already been revitalised and updated with plasma TV's showing live sporting events, with plans to shortly add a secure parking area and potential for a new, luxury spa to follow at a later date.
With immediate access to lush green surroundings and only a very short stroll from Brockenhurst Village and the train station, the Forest Park Hotel is in an ideal spot to lure guests for a relaxing getaway from the city, and would provide an ideal backdrop for a dazzling countryside wedding.
